Versatile Norprene® Tubing Provides Long Life for Everyday Use
Norprene® Pressure Tubing consistently outperforms general purpose rubber tubing in a wide variety of applications. It has excellent resistance to ozone and UV light, with little to no sign of deterioration in laboratory testing to the equivalent of 10 years outdoor exposure. Norprene® Pressure Tubing is extremely abrasion resistant and bends easily to simplify custom component assembly.
Simplifies Cleaning and Sterilization
Norprene® Pressure Tubing is ideal for use in clean-in-place and steamin-place cleaning and sterilization systems. It is compatible with virtually all commercial cleaners and sanitizers and can be repeatedly autoclaved for up to five cycle times without affecting its overall service life. Norprene® Pressure Tubing fully complies with FDA 21 CFR, 177.2600 criteria and 3-A Sanitary Standards.
Excellent Chemical Resistance
Norprene® Pressure Tubing provides superior resistance to many corrosive fluids when compared to general purpose rubber tubings. Norprene® Pressure Tubing has excellent acid and alkali resistance and is compatible with numerous oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite and ozone. It also shows good resistance to the animal and vegetable oils frequently found in food contact applications. Refer to the comprehensive
Tygon® Tubing catalog for a complete listing of common chemicals and their relative affect on Norprene® tubing.

Designed and Constructed to Optimize Performance
Tubing is ideal for use in some of the most physically demanding applications. When exposed to abrasive conditions, the excellent wear properties of Tygothane® tubing frequently outperform traditional rubber, plastic and metal materials. More flexible than many other reinforced urethane tubings, Tygothane® tubing can often be used in applications requiring a tight bend radius where other tubings have collapsed and failed. Tygothane® Pressure Tubing also retains much of its unique flexibility even at temperatures as low as -100˚F (-73˚C). Tygothane® Pressure tubing meets FDA 21 CFR, 177.1680 and 177.2600 criteria for food contact applications.
The excellent wear properties of Tygothane® Pressure Tubing make it ideal for use in physically demanding environments.
Excellent Stability
While many rubber and plastic materials exhibit resistance to certain solvents, oils and chemicals, Tygothane® tubing will resist a much wider range of substances.
Plasticizer extraction leading to embrittlement is one of the most frequent causes of failure when flexible tubings are exposed to harsh chemicals. Tygothane® Pressure Tubing is plasticizer-free and remains flexible even when cycled through temperature extremes.
Large Bore Stock Sizes Ideal for Bulk Transfer
Reinforced for elevated pressure, Tygothane® Pressure Tubing can easily handle applications requiring large volume transfer of high viscosity fluids, pastes and slurries. It is conveniently available from inventory in a wide variety of common sizes up to 2" inner diameter.
