Exceptional Properties of Fluran®

Made of a proprietary fluoroelastomer, Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing has both the physical and chemical characteristics that make it ideal for severe environments, such as dry cleaning fluid lines and solvent recovery systems, where other flexible tubings fail. Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing can be used in continuous service with temperatures as high as 400˚F (204˚C). Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing’s opaque black color helps protect lightsensitive materials being transferred and will not prematurely crack and age when exposed to ozone, sun and weather. A food grade formulation is available upon request.

fluran F 5500 A

Resistant to corrosive chemicals and solvents, Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing is designed to handle the most aggressive solutions at temperatures as high as 400˚F.

Reduced Outgassing

Through a high temperature, time controlled, post-cure process, virtually all processing residuals are driven from Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing. This allows for use in applications where minimal outgassing is required. This condition can be desirable in numerous applications such as found in the aerospace industry, where preventing contamination of highly sensitive instrumentation may be critical.

Excellent Chemical Resistance

Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing provides excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals, oils, fuels, solvents and most mineral acids. Fluran® tubing is highly flexible and resilient, making it the ideal choice in peristaltic pumping of extremely corrosive materials. Refer to the “Effect of Chemical and Temperature Environments on Physical Properties” chart on the back of this page for a listing of common chemicals and their relative effect on the physical properties of Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing.

For extended service in a wide variety of applications, Norprene® Industrial Grade Tubing outlasts virtually all multi-service rubber tubings. From the Makers of TYGON®

High Performance Alternative to General Purpose Rubber Tubing

norprene industrial grade tubing

Norprene® Industrial Grade Tubing outperforms neoprene, EPDM and other generalpurpose tubings in test after test and application after application. It will not weaken or crack after years of exposure to heat and ozone, providing long  ervice in a wide range of applications such as gasketing, abrasion-resistant sleeving and cable insulation. Performance formulated for on-the-job reliability, Norprene® handles temperatures from -75˚F (-60˚C) to 275˚F (135˚C), allowing the use of one material with a broad range of temperatures. It is heat sealable and can be joined without fittings. It also has excellent resistance to inorganic (acids and bases) fluids.

Unequalled Life in Peristaltic Pump Applications

Peristaltic pumps are used in a wide range of markets and applications. The universal requirement common to these applications is the ability of the tubing to withstand the constant high flexural fatigue exerted by the pump rollers. Norprene® outlasts and outperforms virtually all other general service tubing in peristaltic pump applications due to its high flexural fatigue strength. (For additional details on peristaltic pump tubings refer to the comprehensive Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Peristaltic Pump Tubing section at (www.tygon.com.)

Ideal for Use in Vacuum Systems

Norprene® Industrial Grade Tubing is available in standard vacuum sizes that will withstand a full vacuum (29.9" [759mm] of mercury) at 73˚F (23˚C). Unlike typical rubber vacuum tubing, Norprene® resists the cracking and aging that are frequent causes of vacuum tubing failure.

Available in Food Grade and Reinforced Pressure Formulations

The unique properties of Norprene® tubing make it desirable for use in many food processing applications. For these applications, always specify Norprene® Food Process Tubing Formulation A-60-F.

Where elevated pressure capabilities are required, Norprene® Pressure Tubing Formulation A-60-F I.B. is available to withstand up to five times the pressure of non-reinforced Norprene® tubing. (Refer to the Saint-Gobain erformance Plastics data page for additional information on these select tubing products.)

FORMULATION A-60-G Outlasts and outperforms neoprene, EPDM and other specialty rubber tubings

 tygon e 1000

Soft and flexible, new Tygon® E-1000 Non-DEHP Laboratory Tubing delivers the same superior performance you have come to expect from Tygon® tubing but now in a formulation that contains non-DEHP [Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate] plasticizers.

tygon e 1000

The market demand and certain global and regional requirements such as Europe’s REACH, EU Food directives and California Prop 65 motivated Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL) to develop tubing products that contain a globally accepted substitute for DEHP. In addition SGPPL moving to non-DEHP tubing is art of our commitment to our customers for products’ safety and quality. The
new Tygon® E-1000 Non-DEHP Laboratory Tubing has been tested rigorously to ensure that it meets the same physical standards, including low temperature and corrosive chemicals resistance as the old Tygon® R-1000 tubing.

The Preferred Tubing in Low-Torque Peristaltic Pumps

The extremely low durometer (40) of Tygon® E-1000 provides minimal resistance to compression. This feature is ideal when using low-torque or battery-driven peristaltic pumps. Tygon® E-1000 provides an excellent alternative to silicone tubing where corrosive chemicals are used. Tygon® Ultra-Soft Tubing will typically outlast silicone tubing in peristaltic pump applications by a margin of 2 to 1.

Features/Benefits

• Soft and flexible for lab set-ups
• Low-temperature resistant for low level cryogenic applications
• Resistant to corrosive chemicals for laboratory applications
• Low durometer for use in low-torque pump applications
• Meets FDA requirements for food contact
